Max Verhart (1944), free lance copy writer, interested in and writing haiku since about 1980. Member of Haiku Kring Nederland (Haiku Circle Netherlands) since 1982 and Haiku Society of America since 2000. Haiku, written in Dutch, published in haiku magazines Vuursteen and Kortheidshalve, several anthologies and other publications. Individual volumes in Dutch Zijn met wat is (1993), Een beetje adem (1999), English some breath (1999) and bilingual geen woord teveel / not a word too much (2000). Publishing English haiku and linked poetry since 1995 in Woodpecker, Lynx, frogpond, Modern Haiku, Ginyu, The Art Of Haiku 2000. Translations in Yugoslavian (Haiku Novine), Japanese (Ginyu) and German (to be published). Translations published in Yugoslavian, Croatian, Japanese, German and Greek.

Essayistic publications on haiku in Vuursteen en Kortheidshalve since 1996.

President of the Haiku Circle Netherlands since March 2000 c with the idea to get some innovation going. One way to achieve this might well be getting the HCN better connected internationally. European editor for Red Moon Anthology 2002.
