"Druskininkai Poetic Fall and the 5th WHA Conference, 2009" will be held in Lithuania from September 30 through October 4, 2009.

To celebrate this event, WHA will hold a commemorative haiga contest. The 70th Contest (September contest) will be upgraded to the contest.

Deadline for submission: September 20, 2009

Submission Guideline is the same as that of the monthly contest.

About 20 haiga will be selected and from them, three outstanding haiga will be chosen, and each winner will be awarded with a copy of "Flying Pope 161 Haiku" by Ban'ya Natsuishi.
