Judge's comment: I see a hint of awkwardness in the design of the tree branch. It may be because the drawing is done from memory or imagination rather than actual observation. Ink-and-brush painting requires prior preparations: close observation and repeated drawing of the subject, and good amount of contemplation of the composition. |
