| Judge's comment: I like the way a simple line suggesting the wave, and the stylized way the bird is depicted ,which succeeds in expressing the primordial aspects of the rolling waves and flying birds. As for writing alphabets vertically, I understand the author's intention, but as a Japanese, I tend to read them from right to left, that is how Japanese is read when written vertically. |
