| Judge's comment: The horse itself is drawn well. Considering the content of the haiku, "Night" should be expressed in some way. If I were to make this haiga, I would use the dark background, draw horse with light white lines, and make the eye heavy white. The haiku needs some more pondering. The situation, "a star in the horse's eye", seems unreal to me. |
